WATCH: Jack Quaid Fakes Injuries During Clippers Game to Promote Action Thriller ‘Novocaine’

Those who watched on Sunday’s
Los Angeles Clippers
The game might have startled viewers spotting Jack Quaid sitting courtside with bandages and bruises. Luckily, Quaid was merely publicizing his latest film, “Novocaine,” and the injuries were entirely prosthetic.

During the match, spectators at the Intuit Dome started to observe that Quaid appeared increasingly worse with every quarter that went by. Initially sporting just a cast and a sling, he later had to wear a neck brace, add a head dressing, deal with a bleeding nose, and ended up needing casts on both arms.

As the final quarter came to an end, Quaid appeared as though every single one of the ten players had fallen onto him while chasing after a loose ball. Still, he continued to cheer for his side with “Go Clippers” inscribed on one of his casts.

If Quaid decided to endure a match where he needed to rack up simulated fouls, this wasn’t the worst option available. The Clippers orchestrated a remarkable rally in the final quarter and secured victory with an overtime score of 111-110 thanks to a last-second shot from Kawhi Leonard. Leading the way for Los Angeles was James Harden with 29 points, complemented by Ivica Zubac’s impressive performance featuring 22 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.

Given such performances during the playoffs, the Clippers may want to think about having Quaid return just to sit on the bench injured each evening.
