The Golden State Warriors’ top player, Stephen Curry, continues to bolster his credentials. At 36 years old and with four NBA titles under his belt, he’s having an outstanding season, aiming for his fifth championship ring. Despite this impressive feat, Curry isn’t content; instead, he seeks new challenges. For instance, when word spread about him taking up a significant position at his former college, Davidson, many were impressed. Yet, Curry managed to surpass expectations yet again.
Stephen Curry has become an investor in the emerging women’s basketball league that’s reshaping the landscape of the sport. The Golden State Warriors point guard joins this initiative following the announcement from the Unrivaled Women’s 3×3 Basketball League that he is now part of their investment group. ”
I’m immensely thrilled to become part of the Unrivaled family as the league keeps raising the bar for women’s professional sports—empowering athletes and guaranteeing they have a significant role in achieving their own success.
Curry said following the announcement.
The Sharpshooter is dedicated to fostering growth and success within women’s basketball, ensuring that diligent athletes receive adequate training. To achieve this, the 36-year-old investor is participating in the ‘Series A’ fundraising phase, which has attracted an impressive $28 million in investments, building upon the previous $7 million from the seed round. In total, this amounts to $35 million being secured for the 3×3 basketball league. By offering cutting-edge amenities to players, the league sets unprecedented benchmarks in the realm of female sports. Notably, Stephen Curry shares excitement about joining forces with the league due to similar aspirations.

He is tackling a fresh challenge at Davidson College where he will be serving as an assistant general manager for both the men’s and women’s basketball teams of the Davidson Wildcats.
Following his departure from his alma mater, which requested assistance from the 36-year-old NBA legend to rejuvenate their mid-major team, the Warriors’ point guard agreed. In doing so, he made history by becoming the sole current athlete in one of the nation’s top professional sports leagues to take on an NCAA-level position. His involvement will aid the Davidson Wildcats in competing against other powerhouse teams within the Atlantic 10 conference.
Davidson’s recent challenges have been significantly influenced by the implementation of NIL agreements, but Curry’s participation promises to greatly enhance the program’s advancement. Beyond the playing field, Curry brings along his spouse, Ayeshiya, alongside fellow alumnus Matt Berman from Davidson College. Collectively, they aim to establish an eight-figure fund designed to bolster the athletic department. This endeavor underscores Curry’s strong connection to his former university. Additionally, it remains intriguing to observe how much time Curry dedicates to this new position amidst his pursuit of a fifth NBA title with the Golden State Warriors.
