Rival to Coke Unveils a Clever New Profit-Boosting Drink

In recent years, the food and beverage sector has seen significant growth from items that offer a flavor profile distinctively different from what they appear to be.

Consider the spike in popularity of plant-based meat as an instance.

Beyond Meat, Impossible, and several other new players have made significant entries into the grocery and dining landscape, providing vegetarians, vegans, health-focused consumers, and adventurous foodies with the chance to enjoy a meat-like experience without actually consuming meat.

A majority of these items are crafted using an assortment of botanical sources such as legumes, coconut oil, and green peas. Achieving the texture, flavor, aroma, and visual resemblance to conventional ground beef used in burgers requires significant scientific input; however, nowadays almost all supermarkets and quick-service eateries carry this product.

Alternative sodas are rapidly increasing in popularity.

Likewise, beverages that have a flavor similar to soda but are perceived as a healthier choice are also becoming increasingly popular.

Functionality-focused drinks, which provide advantages beyond mere pleasure—such as enhancing moods, boosting immunity, or aiding digestion—are commonly found lining the shelves of numerous grocery and health food shops.

  • Starbucks implements significant adjustment sure to please patrons.

A lot of these beverages are fizzy and have a flavor similar to well-known sodas, yet they generally have lower sugar content.

For instance, Olipop’s Classic Root Beer flavor includes only six grams of added sugar, whereas a standard can of root beer usually contains around 40 grams.

Spindrift jumps on the bandwagon

Now, Spindrift, the independent beverage company known for introducing fizzy drinks made with actual fruit juice, is set to introduce their new line of sodas.

The beverages are named Spindrift SODA and will come in the following flavors:

  • Concord Freeze
  • Ginger Ale
  • Orange Cream Float
  • Shirley Temple
  • Strawberry Shortcake

“Amidst a market cluttered with sodas packed with excess components and various sweetening agents, Spindrift SODA distinguishes itself as a straightforward, contemporary beverage that’s healthier for you, free from superfluous elements such as additional sugars, stevia, or prebiotics,” according to the company.

Bill Creeman, the founder, states that each can of Orange Cream Float includes the juice extracted from three-quarters of an orange.

Each variety includes 20% fresh-squeezed juice which provides exceptional taste and sweetness, establishing a new benchmark for just how delicious a nutritious soda can be.

The beverages will be available on store shelves, as well as through its website and Amazon, later this year.
