During the 2024 NCAA tournament, Illinois advanced to the Elite Eight but then faced off against UConn, which proved too strong for them. UConn beat Illinois 77-52 in the East Regional Final and went on to secure consecutive national championships with a 75-60 victory over another team from the Big Ten, Purdue.

In what month and year is the 2025 Men’s Big Ten Tournament scheduled to begin?
The start of this year’s Big Ten tournament takes place on Wednesday, March 12, at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, for the initial round.
Minnesota and Northwestern will kick off the tournament with their initial match at 3:30 p.m., after which the victor will go on to compete against Wisconsin in the subsequent round on Thursday afternoon.
In the second match-up, Ohio State will face off against Iowa, complemented by two additional games where Rutgers and USC join as participants in this opening round series; notably, one game takes place later on Wednesday evening.
