In the week starting March 3, Fox News attracted an impressive average audience of 4.8 million viewers during prime time, surpassing CBS with 4.2 million, NBC with 3.4 million, and ABC with 2.6 million, as reported by Nielsen Media Research.
The Jesse Watters Primetime” emerged as the top-rated program in primetime, attracting an average audience of 4.4 million people overall and securing 554,000 viewers within the age range of 25-54 years old who are particularly valued by advertisers, during the 8 PM Eastern Time slot. Meanwhile, “Hannity” continued to lead at 9 PM Eastern Time, drawing a viewer base of around 3.7 million individuals in total, including 503,000 from the crucial demographics.

“Gutfeld!” keeps dominating its liberal late-night rivals by attracting an average of 3.7 million total viewers, including 488,000 within the target demographic at 10 p.m. ET. In comparison, CBS’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” garnered only 1.8 million viewers overall and 272,000 from the key demographic group, trailing after it comes ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” which drew 1.5 million viewers and had 246,000 individuals in the desired age bracket. Rounding out the list is NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” reaching 1.04 million people in general but securing merely 235,000 viewers among those crucial demographics.

maintains its position as the top-rated program across all cable news networks, drawing an average of 4.7 million total viewers and 523,000 within the key demographic group. It consistently attracts more viewers during the 5 p.m. ET broadcast slot compared to the latest episode of “Saturday Night Live” hosted by Lady Gaga.

Furthermore, ‘FOX News @ Night,’ hosted by Trace Gallagher, garnered 2 million total viewers and 321,000 viewers in the targeted age group after primetime at 11 p.m. ET.

When compared to the three main broadcast networks, ABC secured the second spot with 6.3 million total viewers, followed by CBS with four million and NBC trailing slightly behind at 3.9 million. Neither CNN nor MSNBC managed to surpass two million total viewers; instead, both platforms drew nearly identical audiences—CNN had 1.9 million viewers versus MSNBC’s 1.9 million as well—with CNN leading narrowly in the crucial demographic category: 585,000 for CNN against 237,000 for MSNBC. In terms of market dominance within cable news, Fox News claimed an impressive 74% share of all cable news watchers, including a commanding 70% hold over those in the critical age group.
